泰王国驻广州总领事馆简介

    泰中关系不断发展，涵盖政府与民间层面的诸多领域，尤其是在经济、贸易、投资和旅游等领域，双方始终坚持互利共赢的原则。广东省及中国南方地区作为多个经济特区的所在地，对泰国具有重要意义，同时有大量泰国私营企业来此投资。

    泰国华侨华人大多祖籍广东，因此广东与泰国可谓渊源深远。鉴于广东省的重要性及中泰长远利益考量，泰国政府在中国政府的大力支持下，于广州市设立了总领事馆。

    泰王国驻广州总领事馆于1989年2月12日正式举行开馆仪式，由时任泰国外交部长空军元帅西提·沙卫西拉阁下亲自主持仪式，广东省副省长亦出席见证。

    泰王国驻广州总领事馆作为泰国政府的代表机构，主要职责是为有意前往泰国的中国公民提供签证便利服务，维护和促进泰中共同利益，拓展与寻求合作机遇，同时作为泰国与领区（广东省、海南省）之间的联络协调中心。更为重要的是，保护领区内泰国公民的合法权益。

    自1989年建馆至2001年期间，泰王国驻广州总领事馆馆舍曾设于白天鹅宾馆。2001年至2014年间，总领事馆办公地点迁至花园酒店。

    2006年，泰国政府决定签署租约，在广州海珠区外国领事馆区租赁一块土地，用于建设驻广州总领事馆新馆舍，以全面深化与广东省、海南省在各合作领域的关系。

    2014年，泰国驻广州总领事馆正式迁址至广州市海珠区友和路36号。此次迁址恰逢总领事馆在广州设立25周年。新馆舍为综合性办公场所，同时容纳以下泰国政府驻穗机构：对外贸易促进处（隶属商务部）、农业处（隶属农业与合作社部）、海关处（隶属财政部）以及投资促进处（隶属总理府）。

History

        Thai-Chinese economic and political cooperation have progressed well over the years based on mutual benefits, particularly in trade, investment and tourism. The economic dynamism of Guangdong Province and the Southern region of China plays a significance role in promoting greater trade and economic cooperation between the two countries

Guangzhou is the center for Thai-Chinese economic relations as well as the gateway through which many Chinese people then travel to Thailand to visit their relatives. Furthermore, most of the overseas Chinese in Thailand, the majority of whose ancestors was from Guangdong Province, also see Guangdong as the gateway to China. Having taken these facts into consideration and with the good cooperation from the Chinese authorities, the Royal Thai Government deemed it appropriate to establish the Consulate-General in Guangzhou.

His Excellency Air Chief Marshal Siddhi Savetsila, the Minister of Foreign Affairs at the time, officially opened the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Guangzhou on 12 February 1989 (Sunday).

The Royal Thai Consulate-General acts as representative of the Thai Government in issuing visas to Chinese people, consolidates Thai-Chinese economic interest, acts as the center for cooperation and coordination between Thailand and the Chinese authorities in the Province of Guangdong and Hainan and most importantly, ensures that the rights and interests of Thai citizens in China are well protected.

From 1989-2001, the Royal Thai Consulate-General was located at the White Swan Hotel. However, from 2001-2014, it +has been moved to the Garden Hotel.

From 2014 – present, the Royal Thai consulate-General, Guangzhou has been moved to No.36 Youhe Road Haizhu District Guangzhou. Currently, the Royal Thai Consulate-General comprises officers from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Agriculture and The Prime Minister's Office (Board of Investment).
