เมื่อวันที่ 26 กรกฎาคม 2556 สถานกงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครกว่างโจว และศูนย์ข้อมูลเพื่อธุรกิจไทยในจีนฯ ได้ร่วมกับบริษัท KPMG China จัดการสัมมนานักธุรกิจไทยในมณฑลกวางตุ้ง ครั้งที่ 1/2556 ณ ห้องประชุมบริษัท KPMG China ชั้น 36 Teem Tower นครกว่างโจว โดยมีนักธุรกิจไทยในมณฑลกวางตุ้งได้ให้ความสนใจเข้าร่วมกว่า 40 คน

      ในช่วงเช้า วิทยากรผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านภาษีจากบริษัท KPMG China ได้บรรยายเรื่องภาษีสำหรับชาวต่างชาติที่ทำงานในจีนและการเปลี่ยนภาษีธุรกิจเป็นภาษีมูลค่าเพิ่ม ในภาคบ่าย ทีมประเทศไทย ณ นครกว่างโจวได้แจ้งข้อมูลที่เป็นประโยชน์และแผนการดำเนินงานในปีนี้แก่ชุมชนนักธุรกิจไทยในพื้นที่ในช่วง “เล่าสู่กันฟังจากภาครัฐ” ต่อมา ภาครัฐและเอกชนได้เสวนาแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลระหว่างกัน โดยภาคเอกชนได้หยิบยกประเด็นการขยายตัวของเขตเมืองและการเปลี่ยนแปลงผังเมืองของรัฐบาลท้องถิ่นซึ่งจะส่งผลกระทบต่อการดำเนินธุรกิจ ตลอดจนกรณีการสวมรอยจดทะเบียนเครื่องหมายการค้าผลิตภัณฑ์ไทย

      สถานกงสุลใหญ่ฯ ได้ริเริ่มจัดกิจกรรมการพบปะของนักธุรกิจไทยในมณฑลกวางตุ้งเมื่อปี 2554 โดยจัดขึ้นปีละ 2 ครั้ง และมีนักธุรกิจในพื้นที่ให้ความสนใจเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมเพิ่มขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่อง

The Royal Thai Consulate-General, Guangzhou organized the first 2013 seminar of the Thai Business Community in Guangdong

      On 26 July 2013, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Guangzhou together with the Thai Business Information Center collaborated with KPMG China in organizing the first 2013 seminar of the Thai Business Community in Guangdong. More than 40 businessmen participated in the event.

      In the morning, the experts from KPMG gave an overview on the latest tax regulations for companies and expats under the topic “China Tax Update - New Guidelines Issued by China Tax Authority on Secondment” and “Changing from Business Tax (BT) to be Value Added Tax (VAT)”. In the afternoon, Team Thailand at Guangzhou briefed the Thai business community on useful information and calendar of the Consulate’s activity for 2013. Later, both public and private sectors exchanged views and the businessmen shared the issues of impact of urban expansion on doing business in China as well as copying of trademarks and being registered in China without the brand owners’ knowing.

      The Consulate in Guangzhou has been organized activities for the businessmen in Guangdong to meet and network bi-annually since 2011. The activities are very much welcomed by the business community with increasing numbers of participants.
